We’re currently hiring a community manager!


Community Manager Position-

GB Patch Games is a small indie studio specializing in visual novels with a high degree of player choice and customization. As a community manager in our team, your role will be to serve as the primary contact for the company, communicating with players, followers, the press, and influencers. It will be your responsibility to create engaging social media posts that excite our fans, answer questions about the game, and ensure our community discussions maintain the wholesome atmosphere we want from our games.

This is a full-time position which will be done fully remotely.

Responsibilities:

·        Create engaging social media posts across all our relevant platforms (Twitter/X and Tumblr in particular) which keep our fans excited about our games and their ongoing development.

·        Reach out to and work with influencers and members of the press to expand the reach and visibility of our games. This includes responding to and sending out emails, answering questions, as well as helping organize influencer and press events.

·        Monitor our community of fans and followers on various platforms (Discord, Twitter/X, Tumblr, etc.) to ensure a welcoming and accepting atmosphere is being fostered.

·        Ensure that relevant game updates are pushed out to all platforms on a regular basis, such as news on the latest builds, or future projects.

·        Act as a point of contact for the development team, community moderators, and players.

·        Observe trends in the reception of our games, listen to player feedback, and communicate concerns to the development team to ensure continued positive sentiment.

 

Requirements/Experience:

·        At least 1 year of experience working with specifically video game community management, or a college degree in a relevant field of expertise. Having both qualifications is a plus, but not a requirement.

·        Excellent writing and communication skills, with a specific focus on addressing concerns and maintaining a positive rapport with people you are in contact with.

·        Familiarity with all relevant social media and gaming platforms used by our company: Twitter/X, Tumblr, Kickstarter, Tiktok, Steam, and itch.io.

·        Time management abilities to ensure posts are made regularly, issues are addressed promptly, and communications are handled efficiently.

·        A general understanding of visual novels and/or “cozy” games is also a plus, but not a requirement.
